Being the Very Best
In life and all human endeavors, we should always strive to be the very best. We should never set an objective of just meeting the minimal standards. We should always exceed the minimal standards and set new high standards. We should be leaders.
The staff of International Surgery has the goal of being the very best in the global scientific and medical publishing field. Just meeting the minimal standards in the scientific and medical publishing field is not acceptable to the staff at International Surgery. The credibility of the published content should never be in question. The quality of the output of the editorial review output should not just be excellent, the quality of the editorial review should be outstanding. The quality of all aspects of publishing by International Surgery should not just be excellent, it should be outstanding.
We accept the challenges of all aspects of scientific and medical publishing. International Surgery staff will continue to communicate with a wide spectrum of leaders in the scientific and medical publishing field to gain insights and wisdom on being the very best in scientific and medical publishing and to mobilize all resources available to make ongoing, appropriate changes and to move onward and upward as leaders in this publishing field.
Being the very best is what we are about and will continue to be. We are dedicated to serving our authors of manuscripts, to having the very best editorial review endeavor, and to publishing quality results of researchers in science and medicine.
I welcome any comments or questions that you may have.
Sincerely,
Professor Christopher Chen
