We have had some recent unexpected difficulties in publishing International Surgery. We therefore thank those authors, who have submitted manuscripts, for their patience and loyalty to International Surgery by waiting for the difficulties to be resolved. We also thank the readers of International Surgery, who rely on quality research reports.

Difficulties are sometimes encountered in life and in organizational endeavors. We are emerging from these difficulties stronger and more focused on the mission of International Surgery.

Our purpose and our strategic direction remain the same. Our commitment is for International Surgery to continue to be one of the very best scientific and medical journals in existence. We will be punctual in all of our commitments to our authors and readers.

With the publication of this issue 100 (9–10), we now promptly proceed with the remaining late issues, such that publishing will be on schedule in the third calendar quarter, 2016.

I welcome any questions or comments that you may have. I remain dedicated to serving all of you in the very best manner possible.
